Entry Requirements

  • You must be able to evidence having a level 2 qualification in both English and Maths, or equivalent, prior to commencing your application for the apprenticeship.
  • Candidates have to be employed over 30 hours a week in a relevant job role.
  • You must have at least 12 months social care experience prior to commencement of the Apprenticeship.

Fees and Funding

You will need an employer who can support your application. The Apprenticeship is funded by the Government and your employer via what is known as a levy. This is something the academy would arrange on your behalf. You do not pay tuition fees while studying for an Apprenticeship.

You will earn as you learn. That’s right. You will earn a full-time wage while completing your apprenticeship and you can qualify as a social worker without having to worry about tuition fees or student debt. This makes an Apprenticeship a great way to start a career in social work.
